About Leonie
Leonie Seebregts brings a unique and valuable combination to Body-Stream: she is both a doctor of musculoskeletal medicine and a certified STOTT PILATES® teacher. This dual expertise allows her to bridge the gap between medical treatment and movement rehabilitation.
Medical Expertise Meets Pilates
In her medical practice, Leonie treats people with all kinds of complaints of the musculoskeletal system – back pain, joint issues, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and more. Through this work, she has observed a common pattern: with recurring injuries, there is often also a disturbed movement pattern.
This insight led Leonie to Pilates. She recognized that Pilates is a highly effective method to teach the body to move correctly and without pain, addressing the root cause of many injuries rather than just treating symptoms.
Leonie's Teaching Approach
Her medical knowledge allows her to understand exactly what’s happening in a client’s body and why certain movements cause pain. Her Pilates training gives her the tools to create effective rehabilitation programs that retrain the body.
